Carolina von Morgen

Partner, Attorney at Law

Carolina von Morgen has been a lawyer since 2003 and is also a Romanist (Magistra Artium in Spanish). She combines legal know-how with commercial and entrepreneurial experience and special language skills, especially in French and Spanish.

Carolina von Morgen initially worked as an in-house lawyer for a large book publishing company, where she dealt with all copyright, publishing, licensing and press law issues. She then worked for several years as managing director in the book publishing industry, initially in the area of marketing film rights and translation rights, then increasingly and later exclusively in the area of commercial management. Here she looked after various book publishers in all commercial and legal matters, especially in financial planning and controlling, partly as managing director and partly as authorised signatory.

As managing director, Carolina von Morgen's personnel management and her handling of labour and social law issues led her to employment law, which she deepened by attending a specialist course in labour law.

Carolina von Morgen has also been the managing partner of a family business in the real estate sector since 2009.

Carolina von Morgen advises various media companies and schools in all areas of media law, in particular copyright, publishing, licensing and press law as well as price fixing, trademark and competition law. She advises and represents companies from a wide range of sectors in employment law, benefiting from her corporate experience and commercial perspective. Furthermore, she advises clients in real estate and tenancy law, as well as in cases in which her foreign-language competence is required in addition to her legal expertise.

Carolina von Morgen completed her bilingual German-French Abitur in Bonn, studied law at the University of Passau and at the Universidad Santiago de Compostela (Spain), and Spanish language and literature at Humboldt University, Berlin. She received a scholarship from the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes (German National Academic Foundation) and completed part of her legal clerkship at the Flammarion publishing house in Paris.
